Latest Illinois market stats

Statewide home sales totaled 9,182, a 13.5 percent increase from 8,088 home sales in September 2010, according to the latest Illinois Association of Realtors report. The statewide median price in September was $136,850, down 5.6 percent from $145,000 last year.

Latest Stats in the housing market

Statewide home sales rose in March for the second consecutive month to 7,833 homes sold, up 40 percent compared to February. Year-over-year statewide total home sales declined 17.9 percent compared to a year ago, according to the latest IAR report.
